Why you should choosing a cable that supports 4K@60Hz?

First you have to know what's the difference between 30Hz and 60Hz.

It basically means the pixels in the screen will update twice as fast. Means that when the content is moving fast like on a game or sports that it will be sharper.

Unlike that only support a 30Hz refresh rate,

uni 60Hz cable is ideal to get the most out of your new 4K TV and other devices.

Your 4K displays deserves the BEST.

*Remember that frame rate (FPS) is how many frames your computer is producing or drawing, while the refresh rate (Hz) is how many times the monitor is refreshing the image on the screen.

The refresh rate of your monitor does not affect the frame rate.

Generally speaking, 60Hz is the minimum for a good quality, solid experience from a monitor.

What is DP alt mode? How can I know if my USB C port support DP alt mode?

DisplayPort Alt Mode (DP Alt Mode) allows a USB-C equipped computer to connect directly to a display or monitor, it is pointing to the USB C port. When you use the USB C port to output HDMI or DP signals, DP ALT Mode is the premise.

USB C Thunderbolt 3 or USB 3.1 Gen1/Gen 2 will support DP alt mode, you can check the specifications of your devices.

See more in the COMPATIBILITY.

My laptop and monitor also have a DisplayPort 1.2 port that supports 4K@60 Hz, which cable should I choose? USB C to HDMI or USB C to DisplayPort cable?

Use HDMI or DisplayPort cable is depends on what you need and what you will use this cable for, it all depends on you! I will tell you the differences between HDMI and DisplayPort so that you can choose depends on your real needs:

1. Speed:

The Maximum Transmission Rate to be sent through a DP 1.2 cable is 21.6 Gbps, Max Data Rate is 17.28 Gbps.

The Maximum Transmission Rate to be sent through an HDMI 2.0 cable is 18.0 Gbps, Max Data Rate is 14.4 Gbps.

2. Signal:

The HDMI features an audio return channel (ARC).

Contrary to HDMI, DP cannot carry Ethernet signals, nor does it have an audio return signal.

3. Usually used:

DisplayPort (DP) main focus computer displays and professional IT equipment, so more data-centered markets.

HDMI is the standard people most commonly find on appliances like television sets, projectors, and home computers.
