This is one seriously fast card reader. Using this reader with my iPad Pro, I can offload my cards all day to a separate SSD and keep shooting. All my cards are UHS-II, and it takes about 60 seconds to offload 10GB of photos. This speed is impressive in my book and works absolutely great for me. The reader is really well-made and comes with a seriously thick braided cable. This reader has earned a spot in my camera bag.
This is a pretty fast SD card reader. The main casing is fully metal, not plastic. The cable is braided, very strong. I have tested on my Mackbook pro with V60 SD cards, I can get about 130mb/s write and 250mb/s read speed. This is pretty consistent. This works with iPad, and iPhone with the USB-C ports. I will be adding this reader to my travel kit, so I can download my photos and videos anytime I want. High quality product from UNI.
I have several memory card readers (I'm a professional photographer) but all of them use USB-A cables and my MacBook Air does not have a USB-A input (and my Mac Studio only has two, which are usually in use). I ordered this one to see how well it works and if it would be a good one to travel with. The answer is yes to both counts! All my cameras use SD cards and this reader is nice and fast. It's noticeably faster than the built-in card reader on my Mac Studio. The fast transfer speed is a big help when I'm transferring 600 RAW images to my computer. It's really nicely manufactured. It's solid and the cable is nice and thick. My only minor complaint is I wish the cable was longer but that's really being nit-picky. (I was well aware of the length of the cable when I ordered it.) I recommend this one highly, as long as you don't need a longer
