"2022 New Year, new start, new members and new adventures, can’t wait for the journey with all of you.
Last month, a buyer got in touch with us saying our cable caused the damage on his iPad Pro USB-C port, we had a very detailed conversation afterward. As the deeper conversation goes, we realized we never share exactly what we have done in the product improvement process, but only tell you that we had made improvements.
So let's look back - with the highlights that would never happen without you!"
We upgrade our website in 2020, adding a new section called "Request A Feature", in this page, we welcome any suggestions / great ideas. Selecting what products you expect when choosing to associate with us. And the below is what we get from this form. (We also getting this information form instagram and twitter.
We don't want to explain to you the history of our brand, or how good the materials we use, but we really want to hear from you about how you feel when you use uni products, and how good do you think it is, or what can be improved. And we will figure out how we going to get there.
1. Product - USB-C to USB-C 100W 5A Charging Cable.
Game Point:
With heavy use, it can develop frayed wires, most likely appearing in the longer version (15ft).
What we have done:
We added a braid-holding device near the connector to hold the braid in place more tightly and prevent the braid from fraying when bending over and over after heavy use. Moreover, we have applied this improvement to the rest longer braided wire products.
2. Product - USB-A to Ethernet Adapter. & Multi USB Hub (4ft extension cable version).
Game Point:
Since uni has always insisted on simple packaging without wasting resources, there is no additional fixed device. Therefore, the excessively long connecting cable causes friction between the connector and aluminum product shell during transportation.
What we have done:
A separate layer of anti-abrasion mesh has been added at the USB-A connector, and the packaging remains simple and neat.
3. Product - USB-C to 4 USB Hub.
Game Point:
Thank you Matt that telling us the product issue with specific device model and usage scenario in a very clear way. We immediately locate the issue on WiFi interaction.
What we have done:
1. Add shielding cover.
2. Add shielding copper foil paper.
3. Additional quality inspection process of the shielding effect.
This year we are actively looking for creators who appreciate our products and want to grow with us. They provide us with valuable and honest feedback from their unique perspectives, as well as the story of our products.
Below is a list of the few partners we've worked with, and we'll set up a dedicated showcase later to tell you more about each of our creators.

"Uni’s USB-C to HDMI Cable is an expensive-feeling nylon braided cable with aluminum plug housings that comes in a range of lengths from 3 to 15 feet, offering more options than the competition. It works perfectly, like all the HDMI cables we tested, properly transmitting a 4K signal at 60 Hz. You get a lifetime warranty on the cable if you’re willing to sign up for the company’s newsletter."
We start hosting events on our official website last February after we update our website with new teammates onboard.
We want to meet more people who don't even get to know about uni, to find out what new ideas from who already know about uni, or what they want to complain about uni and to get you the latest products.
However, the most ridiculous thing about this process is that we are seen as scammers or so-called malicious scams. Even the people who win the prize are never shown up to claim the prize.
But there are still lovely people who contact us in private expressing support and love for us.
No one will escape from misunderstandings, right?
Well, we have to persevere, let more people know uni, and then look at their evaluation. Time will tell.
Stay tuned!
Providing you with better alternatives for USB-C Accessories is the core of everything we do.
We're so excited to continue this work with our all partners, and you, in 2022 - and beyond.
